Acoustic Guitar Lessons Instruction Teachers

People decide to take guitar lessons for a variety of reasons. Some have a desire to become experts and others just want a hobby or a wish for self improvement. Whether using acoustic or electric guitars, we at Ravenna School of Music in Northeastern Ohio, offer the kind of patient instruction, lessons and support that allows anyone to reach their goal.

Starting with songs familiar to you, our guitar students will build a library of guitar techniques that can be applied to any particular musical style.

Electric Guitar Lessons Instruction Teachers Our guitar students will also learn music notation along with guitar tablature as we cover basic music theory in a structured linear fashion. Don't be intimidated by the techicnical aspects because we will also be teaching how to "play by ear." As is mentioned in our About Us page, we believe ear training to be a very important part of guitar instruction.

We employ fun and games about rhythm and pitch in a safe, comforting setting when teaching children. We will use tools like the guitar and ukulele, clapping hands, beating on things and our own voices to teach rhythm and pitch so it doesn't feel like a chore. We keep in mind that using techniques such as this that it's our responsibility to gift the child with a love for music that they will carry with them their entire lives.
